Some say the sport of benchrest shooting along with its gadgetry, precision and techniques is one of the best kept secrets in the shooting world. The relative scarcity of books on the subject would tend to bear this out. Efforts by key individuals in organized benchrest competition have often been directed toward swelling our numbers but have never made this sport as large as some of the other shooting disciplines.
